There is a new app developed at UC, Riverside, that rewires your visual cortex to see better. It applies new knowledge gained recently about the elasticity of the adult brain and how it can be rewired. According to the article, after 3 weeks, you can see both further and read more easily. This would be a big help for hunting, I imagine. I can't wait to hear more.

I believe it! love to see that app. I recently tested 20/15 in my left and 20/20 in my right at almost 20 feet. Can't see shit up close. Wonder if there's any trade off?

I imagine there would be. Those re-wired neurons were prolly busy doing something else afore. Some people were able to go from 20/20 to 20/7.5, btw.

I wonder if they have an app for heat/x-ray vision.

They say if you live in a cave for 6 months in complete darkness, your brain will adapt and process infrared signals. Infrared is greatly attenuated by your receptors, but that doesn't mean there is no signal to observe.

Imagine-- You'd be able to see the heat from your footprints. The effect wears off quickly after your exposed to sunlight, so I suspect the novelty of seeing infrared is not worth 6 months in a cave.. Just saying.

Dang. Went to the App Store to download and it is only available for the iPad not the iPhone.
I don't carry an iPad to the deer stand which is where I planned on messing with it.
Wonder if they will ever make an iPhone version?
