View Full Version : Good Therapy

I finally couldn't take being cooped up anymore so I hit the creek last night for some fishing therapy. I figure it's more effective and way cheaper than a shrink. Considering it's still winter time around here the fishing was suprisingly good. I was only able to fish for an hour and a half and hooked 10 fish, but only landed 8 of them. Of the fish landed 7 were brown trout, 1 rainbow, and the two I lost were browns. For a small creek they were pretty solid fish mostly between 15"-18" long. If we had a fishing forum I would post this there.

Now that looks like a pile of fun...
One thing I've noticed about fishing is its impossible to fish and worry at the same time. :D

Captain, I couldn't agree more. While none of my problems went away, I did manage to forget about them for a while.

Need to revisit my schedule.

Bwana keep in mind I have about a half a dozen really good trout streams within 20-30 minutes of my front door. However only the one that runs through town is open to fishing year round. The others are subject to a fishing season which opens the 3rd weekend in May through November 30th. In other words most of the streams have zero fishing pressure from December through most of May. That translates into some exceptionally good fishing. I do well one the one stream that is open year round and even better on the streams subject to fishing season. All this to say...it's all good. :D

They'd all look real good covered with corn meal and swimming in some hot grease.

Len, I've noticed that a lot of the rainbows seem a little beat up. I'm thinking the high concentration of browns might have something to do with it. That and the creek got really low last fall. I think browns survive better than rainbows.

Niner, not hoarding just wanting for the right opportune moment. I'm thinking that moment isn't far off.
