Neither, daylight just lasts a little longer...FINALLY! I am really blessed that from the time I get off from work, to when I'm in my waders and in the water, is about 15 minutes. Yesterday was absolutely magical and the best day of creek fishing I may have ever had in terms of size and numbers. I fished 3 hours and caught somewhere between 50-60 trout. The average size was 15"-16" which in a creek is fantastic. The two biggest were in the 18" class. I'm still a little freaked out this morning at how good the fishing was.

These are browns JB. I have a whale of a brookie already mounted. I do need to catch a slammer brown one of these days for the wall though. Here's the brookie and one of the biggest trout I've caught of any kind. The birds should help with giving perspective of just how nice this brooke trout is.

Len, the best part is when I was driving out last night I ran into the land owner that gives me permission to access this part of the creek. He told me I was welcome anytime and didn't need to call or anything. He said he knows my truck and if it's parked on his place, he knows what I'm up to. Montana has very good stream/river access laws. Basically if you access the water via a public access area like a bridge or public access site you can go anywhere you want as long as you stay below the high water (flood) mark. The same applies if you access the creek from private land that you have obtained permission to be on. All this to say that I accessed the creek from one guys place last night and stayed in the creek while walking past 5 or 6 different landowners properties. It's a really good law for those that enjoy fishing.

BBP, none of the creeks in my area get stocked. It's all natural reproduction, which I think is extra cool, and quite frankly, pretty special.

Nice! I caught a rainbow by surprise in my smallmouth river a while back. That thing out up one HELL of a fight for it's size.

I did notice yesterday anyway, that the rainbows fought harder than the brown trout did. In fact, once you lift a brown out of the water to take the hook out they get pretty quiet, whereas the rainbows fought the whole time. Makes them a pain in the butt to get the hook out when they won't hold still for a second.
