Best price on fish finder/gps

Am considering upgrading the depth finder on my boat to something with a gps, any suggestions on where to get the best price on such a unit?

Currently considering a Humminbird 859 but am open to suggestions on that front also.

Technology has passed me by somewhat. They now have 360 degree transducers (expensive). Highest Gen you can afford for SI and DI (both HD) is what I'd get. Humminbird ONIX series if you can afford it.

All that shit is overrated.

It'd be a tough call. I imagine Garmin makes the better GPS and Humminbord makes the better locator. As far as who makes the best combination unit, that probably depends on what a person is familiar with. Its too bad Lowrance isn't in the picture but I couldn't recommend them nowadays even though that's what I have on my boat. As long as you never have to call them and never require service and never want any more parts, they're fine I guess.

I have a garmin 541s. Fish finder and GPS combined. I like it. Screen could be a little bigger. But it works good for what I need it for, which is mostly the gps feature.
It's 3 years old now, probably lots of better, newer technology in that time.

Thanks for thinking of me Niner but I ended buying the 859 Bucky mentioned but got it on sale for 5 bills locally.
