I picked up a "Fat Boy" at an estate sale this morning ... with case! It's not pristine, really nasty and just a little rough, but looks like it'll clean up nicely. Picked it up for $0.50 ... should bring an easy $85.00 - $90.00 once I put a package together as I have a period correct pack of blades to add to it. :encouragement:

Did you ever do anything with yours?

For youse other dufes ... one'a these. (this one sold yesterday for $105.00)

What would you give me for a 1992 Lady Gillette with red hairs in it?

'92 huh? You wouldn't be tryin' to pull my leg would ya'? Ha!

You dufus. The Lady Gillette was made between 1961 & 1975. They're great sellers, especially the odd colored ones (not blue). I have a couple here if'n ya' wants ta' buy one. :D

I picked one up a few weeks ago for a quarter. This one (1973) just sold for $65.00 ... no case or anything.

I haven't done anything with it........yet. I need to get back on the stick with my eBaying. I kindof got into a lull after my radiation surgery, and haven't gotten back on track.

Thanks for the reminder...I need to get it and several other things I've dug outta the basement that neeed to get gone.

Yeah Bill, those Fat Boys are HOT ... have been for quite some time. I've seen pristine examples sell for $250-$300 ... but they're usually NOS items and pretty much perfect. There are a few more rare examples (they made a few changes in the early days) and the sky is the limit on those prices. (I'm always lookin' for 'em!) These units are actually called Gillette 195's (the Fat Boy term was customer generated due to the shorter, fatter handle). The 195 came from the fact the Fat Boy sold for $1.95 back in the day (they were made from 1958 - 1961). The case on the one I bought yesterday is in pretty rough shape, but it still has the $1.95 price tag on it!
