... I'll give youse dufes a huge target. (no pun intended)

This weekend we were invited to a friend's house for dinner. While there, the landscaping guy found a small kitten trapped in a storm drain and rescued her. After scouring the neighborhood, nobody recognized her, so we assumed, as young as she is and as dirty as she was, she was feral. Of course I'm sure you can guess who the suckers are who ended up taking her home. Well, at first she was terrified but once I got her calmed down, she turned into a complete sweetheart and a total "daddy's girl". ;)

She's got bright blue eyes ... slightly crossed ... so I assume she has a bit of Siamese in her (how fitting ... a Thai cat!) :D

Here we are for our Sunday afternoon nap ...

And here's her reaction when Lynn told her she had an appointment with the ASPCA to get spayed and all of her shots first thing Monday morning!

Lynn burned up the phones trying to find a home for her and ended up finding a co-worker who wanted her. By this time we'd pretty much bonded and here's her reaction to the news she was being adopted out once she recovers from her surgery and shots.

Anyway, I picked her up yesterday afternoon and once the anesthesia wore off, she was back to being a loving, playful little ball of fur. I'll be dropping her off at Lynn's work this afternoon to meet her new parents. I think I'm gonna miss the little shit to be honest. She's curled up in my lap, purring loudly, as I type this. :(

Ya can't do that to her! She's bonded with you and won't understand what she did ( for the rest if her life) that made you send her away.
She put her trust in YOU!
Going to be a very sad cat, if you send her away. :(

Ummm, we have six others already ... all strays. She's young ... she'll get over it. Me on the other hand .... I'll miss her.

Her new family spent yesterday buying food, litter box, toys, etc, and are excited about meeting her this evening.

Dude... You have too many cats. Consider the source here. I'm concerned for you.

Thumper

No, LYNN has too many. Well, two are kinda-sorta mine ... (not counting the new kitten) ... it's funny how some bond strongly with her and others prefer me. Mine go outside during the day and chase butterflies and shit. Here're "my" cats ... GG watching her man Duke playing with a snake. (ya' know anybody who can pressure wash that driveway?)

Ha ha ha ha! Lynn just called from work. She just now got around to opening the paperwork from the ASPCA. It seems this little kitty didn't get spayed afterall ... HE got neutered! :D

(Lynn checked Sunday and announced "she" was a little girl ... I never thought to double check!) :slaphead

Well I, for one, am glad some folks have cats....just not me. No cats will live here. I do....ummmm...."feed" the neighbors cat though. He/she seems to be rather partial to the chipmunks and squirrels I leave for it out in the yard.
:biggrin
Keeps me from having to "relocate" the little vermins.

Well, we did the old hand-off to the new parents this evening. Damn! I'd really grown attached to that little critter and already miss his antics. I can't think of ONE negative thing to say about that bugger and he was a joy the whole (short) time we had him. :crybaby

We're constantly picking up strays Sunny. If we kept all of them, we'd have a zillion cats here! Problem is, the really cool ones get adopted out pretty easily (especially kittens). The one's that are full grown, have a handicap of some sort or simply don't have the best "personalities" are a bit harder to place and usually become permanent residents.

The first thing we do with a stray is have it spayed/neutered and get all it's shots ... that usually makes them easier to place.

I have to admit though ... this one pretty much won my heart and we bonded immediately. I'll miss that little shit. :(

Oh yeah, and another "Bite Me" to you Cappy! ;)

I have a "thing" about stray cats, too. The ones I don't shoot on sight I drop off at the nice old Vietnamese couple's on the edge of town.

1. It shits in the house.
2. It sheds in the house.
3. It yacks up hairballs in the house.

That's just a short list without even trying.

Cats vs dogs

1) A cat shits in a litter box and buries it, then ya' just dump it in the trash ... ya' don't hafta step in dog shit in the yard or have to pick it up when you mow.
2) This was a short hair, very little shedding ... dogs shed in the house also.
3) None here, but if so, they're dry, ya' pick 'em up and drop 'em in the trash ... dogs lick their balls then lick your face! ;)

Chicken Dinner

The other said, "He'd prolly like it, go ahead." ;)
