.....or would that be a "racist statement"?

Looks like the SCOTUS is continuing to set things right with the Constitution, and put Obama in his place.

They said a President cannot make appointments that require Congressional approval at times Congress is adjourned.

They said a President cannot make appointments that require Congressional approval at times Congress is adjourned.

They said that last week Buckster....
I'm trying to find out what they did TODAY?
My guess would be a good decision for Hobby Lobby if I'm reading Len right?

In favor of Hobby Lobby essentially said that Obama care can not mandate a company, majority owned with religious beliefs in conflict, can not be forced to provide contraceptives. To be honest if you can't afford your own contraceptive you definitely can't afford kids .... so abstinence is probably best....I know not realistic

That'll be wonderful until some company decides God gives people AIDS on purpose and refuses to cover the treatment.

God. He's gets all the blame and none of the credit. It's hard being at the top of the food chain, just ask Bush

AIDS is not required to be transmitted via sex. Conception almost always is. Also AIDS is defined by a US Government agency as a disease, and pregnancy is not. Thus, invalid comparison.

If corporations are people, we should be able to execute them...

Okay. Suppose Hobby Lobby is a Shiite muslim owned company and they want to deny health coverage for something under sharia law. You still gonna feel the same way about it? Same shit. Different day.
The best thing that could happen is we unhook health care from anything to do with employment and let people pay for it in a free marketplace. I know that's a radical and probably liberal idea but its the one I like best. That way we can buy coverage for whatever it is we personally believe and not base it on what somebody else believes. Until then, you wait and see what kind of cans of worms this opens. There'll be a lot of folks get religion all the sudden.

Still a black eye for Obama.

Let's carry the argument further.. A company might have strong religious bias against hiring others not affiliated. This decision seems to say that it's ok to ignore federal law if it somehow offends you. I know it sounds ridiculous, but the decisions should stand the test of time. The government of Germany has already stated that Germany is expected to be a Muslim state by 2050. Can we have Sharia law dictate which laws a company can accept?

I know this sounds far-fetched or perhaps even racist (it's not), but I do believe SCOTUS made a mistake here that runs against the grain of what our founding fathers have established.
