my friends!

I'm out of here in the morning for 10 days of backpacking out West. Heading out to do the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and the Escalante/Grand Staircase area of southern Utah with a bunch of Boy Scouts. Pray for me...

Ha! Haven't seen that in a few years. I had "AMF" painted on the back of the spoiler on my street racer back in high school. A LOT of my competition got the message as I pulled away from them!

I am surprised you could get that painted on a covered wagon Jim. I mean you did say high school so that would be well before the steam engine and internal combustion engine.

That's some pretty hot assed country there CD. Be sure to drink plenty of water....during the day. And be sure to watch out for snakes.

AMF was a well used signoff on the old 75 baud teletype order wires.

We did RYRYRYRY to test our keyers and convertors. R is a mark and Y is a space. HJHJHJHJ does the same thing.

We'd come up with V's .... VVVV .... VVVV ... VVVV. Not a test really, just a signal for adjusting freqs. and something for the outstation to home in on.

..._ ..._ ..._ ..._

We'd end with VA (or SK, same diff)

..._ ._ or ... _._ :D
