Not near as stupid ... but kinda-sorta similar. I loaned my utility trailer to a neighbor last week and he had it parked in his driveway overnight. He was worried about theft, so he ran a cable through one wheel (like the photo above, across the fender, then looped it around one of the side rails on the trailer and padlocked it. I'll give you one guess as to what he forgot to remove when he took off with the trailer the next day. To make matters worse, what alerted him to the problem was the squeal of the locked up tire as he dragged it down the street! He had to beat the fender back into shape (sort of) with a hammer. ARRRRGGGHHH!
