Ipad Mini is shot....

Ipad Mini quit charging....cord is good....thinking about tossing it, instead of repair....what's a good reliable replacement???....new mini is about $300....really don't need all the bells/whistles, i.e., camera, face-time crap, etc....just a reliable one to wi-fi at the lake house.
