It's been the hottest, driest summer here that I can remember. We usually get a pretty nice summer but it's somewhat unusual to be this warm and dry for so long. Looks like rain in the forecast for the middle of the week so I'm looking forward to it. Hard to believe I said that.

Oh well, winter and rain, rain, rain is just 3 or 4 months away. I'll look back on all this sunny weather with nostalgia.

Yeah Johnboy, I'd assume your summer pretty much runs parallel with Sunny's. They've been mighty dry down their way also. Maybe Al Gore was right. ;)

Yep it's been horrible here for several weeks.
Going to be in the 90's today.
There are a lot of huge forest fires in eastern Washington.
Here's the biggest one:

Have several more that have burned over 6,800 acres and not contained yet.

Really dry here. :(

Here's a map showing all the present fires.
Over 445,000 acres have burned so far.

Had a forest fire about 19 miles from the house.
The fire department and volunteers got on it before it took off.
Its out now, thank God!!! :)
Way to dry up here.

Lots of small fire from people throwing their cigarettes butts out the window.

There are so many stupid people living in the USA now.
Have no common sense.

Sunshine, "common sense" is the most uncommon of commodities. I figure it should be called "uncommon sense". :D

We are experiencing one of our coolest, yet driest summers down here....I got every irrigation well that I own is running 24/7 on soybeans.

I tried paying-off the preacher for some rainfall, but even he can't pray up a soaking rain for me. ;)

We've had a cool and (relatively) wet summer here. Today, it's been in the 70's with a nice soaking rain. Over 1.5" so far with a chance of thunder boomers this evening. It almost makes the hellish winter we just had worth it.

A few spits of rain this aft but sure hoping for some more. A good 2-3 day soaker would bring the creeks up a bit and give the salmon a better chance to reach the spawning beds in good shape. At least the temps have dropped some. Come on rain!
