Thinking about deleting Facebook.

A bazillion people emailed wanting to know why I was not on Facebook, so I finally gave in and spent a full weekend setting mine up. I never touched it again. I get notices and post on others pages from time to time, but I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at my own page. I "should" go back and add more pics (I never even got to my hunting pics) ... I just haven't. Facebook is cool in a way and I enjoy following other's pages ... I just haven't gotten into posting on my OWN page yet.

Watched it. Doesn't affect me. I don't use my phone for Facebook. I only email with it if it's an "emergency". Just hate dealing with that little screen. I WILL pass this on to a few friends though who use their tablets CONSTANTLY on Facebook.

Sounds like this is a separate app from the facebook app. I'm the opposite in that I never download the updates. As a good Republican, change scares me...

Link loads, but the video won't play. Wife uses facebook and has a tablet. She has no clue what it does, or how to do it. It's just the only way to see pics of grandkids. Should she know something??

From what I'm reading Chicken Dinner is right. It's only the Messenger app. That's a lot better then the first link lead me to believe
Niner if you click on the first link and sign into your Facebook account that first video will play.
I'll just delete the messenger app and continue on with Facebook. I reply enjoy it.

The messenger app has been sabotaged by interwebs and/or competitors. It's no more or less invasive than any other social app out there. The hand wringing and worrying is from droid users that saw the accesses requested as part of the installation process. You don't have to install, or use it but it's not more or less risky than any other social app we run as a matter of course.
