Finally, some moisture!!!....

We haven't had hardly a drop of rain since July 18th.
Finally, rain is moving up from the Gulf, and we got a blessed 1/2 inch, so far, with more predicted, this afternoon....south Loozana got pounded with 6 inches, but I sho 'nuf don't want THAT much. ;)

Got another inch of blessed rain, and man do we need it....thank you, Lord !!!!!

We have a lot of very dry afternoon thunder.

Summer is FINALLY here........just when I'm headed to deer camp to bush hog and run chain saws and such. Geez.........

Our dove season opened this morning....the rain really screwed up our dove hunt....had birds Friday, before the rain, now, they are scattered to kingdom come, and just lazing around on a few power lines....grandson killed an armadillo and a paper cup ;)....maybe this afternoon will be a better hunt.

Ours don't open till noon. But we will be after them this afternoon.

Edit: Just received an update and he said he has 36 so far.

Ours doesn't open till next Saturday..........but I ain't got nowhere to go again.....

Doesn't matter this year, I'll be at deer camp bush hogging.
