Does ANYBODY know what these thingies are? I have no clue. I picked 'em up at an estate sale today and nobody there knew what they were either. They were too cool to leave behind, so I dragged 'em home with me.

They're heavy/solid at 5.2 oz. each. They are hand-painted (no decals) and "look" old. I figured they were some sort of table top hockey puck ... but I can match 'em on the net. Thought maybe they were for some sort of table top shuffle-board game. Same deal, can't match 'em. I even thought they might be some sort of table top curling thingies for Canuckian drinking establishments or sumpin'. I'm striking out everywhere. I'm clueless. Youse dufes gots any ideas?

Might only be a coincidence, but on billiard balls, the 3 ball is solid red and the 14 ball has a green stripe.
Those things have identical markings and colors of billiard balls.
No idea how they might be used for shooting pool, however.

The bottoms appears to be worn down....just wondering if they are part of some type of table top game, where they are slid or skidded over a slick fabric of some type.

I think Eddie is knocking on the door with the Billiards connection.

Good eye there Edward! I agree on the color match. I also "thought" the bottoms were worn, but they are as smooth and hard as the rest of the piece. I thought they were made of compressed saw dust (kinda like particle board) but they appear to be a solid plastic of some sort. I assume it's still a possibility the bottoms are worn, but if they are, the texture/hardness is the same all the way through. That "sawdust" looking stuff is also at the tops and I'm not sure how or why those areas would wear. I can't FEEL any wear anywhere, but that doesn't mean anything I guess.

I think I've been on the right track with the table top type game. I used to play shuffleboard in a bar years ago. They looked like this:

I suppose the same principle could be used for billiards ... some table type affair ... but I've never seen one and can't seem to find a pic on the net.
