I absolutely love fall colors. ;)

Nothing like an ultra light rod/reel and a lit up brookie to cheer up one's attitude.

I don't know what it is about a Panther Martin that trout like or hate, but either way I'm sure glad they hit it.

The fishing required a little bit of a walk and once on the creek it wasn't the easiest fishing in the world. It was quite brushy and the creek it's self is super rocky. Every darn one of those rocks was covered in moss and slicker than snot. I spent more time trying to stay vertical that I did fishing. Thankfully I never took any really hard falls. While it was a little tricky to fish it was worth it.

I made my way back up out of the canyon and back to my pick up shortly before dark. It was a great afternoon, and this sunset was a perfect gift to end the day with.

beautiful stuff right there... I waded this weekend as well. Same rick situation. I need new wadddders. Mine have too many holes to repair at this point.

I'm afraid I might'a punched a small hole or two in my waders wandering around in that brush. I'm going to have to try and find the holes, patch them up and be ready for October fishing. Once Oct is over, I will send them back to LLBean for a new pair. October is just too good of fishing to be messing around with exchanging things through the mail. For those of you that don't know, LLBean will exchange or refund any of their products if you become unhappy with them. This has no time limit. So I specifically asked; "If I buy your waders and they start leaking a 2 or 3 years down the road. I can exchange them?" They replied: "Yes, that is correct." I don't really see how I can go wrong. I bought these waders early last spring. I've used them nearly every week for the last 6 months. Often several times a week. In other words they've had about as much abuse in 6 months as most guys put on them in 4 or 5 years. So the fact they are leaking a little doesn't surprise me. However, one thing is for sure, I'm never happy with leaky waders. I've had to exchange waders to LLBean once before. It was totally hassle free. I expect I will have a brandy-new pair for winter and spring. :)

It sealed the deal for me. I was all set to buy Simms Guide series waders, but they don't guarantee squat. When I found out that LLBean takes care of a guy forever, I was like...SOLD!!! Btw, they have one of the best waders on sale right now. I think the sale ends tomorrow. These are the pair I have and that sale price is pretty darn good.

Well, I was referring to the original post that started this thread. At least ONE of us around this joint knows how to stay on topic. Peter-Puffer! ;)

That's some serious good fishing there Big Sky! Congrats. Good thing we don't live too close to each other. They would be a serious shortage of wildlife!

So for we uneducated folks (ok, probably just me) what species of trout are those fishes?

Big Skyz

Brook Trout, which are technically char even though they are called "trout".
