I got a deer stand project, and need to re-floor one of my round tanks that I use for a deer stand....at the widest point, it is 10 feet in diameter....I know how to figure the area(pi x R squared= 78.5 sq. ft.)....I can buy the flooring material in either 10, 8, or 6 foot lengths, and 6 inches in width.

Starting with the 10 ft. center board, and working outwards toward each side, how many of each length board will I need, so as to not waste much material, as the length gets progressively shorter, as each board is installed.

I assume you are not wanting to piece any boards together? Do you have "floor joist" or does the board have to span the whole length (10 foot at the widest) If the full length is what you have to go with I assume you will need 4 10 footers, 4 8 footers And the rest use 12 footers for the balance.

Buy 10, 12 foot 1X6's that will give you want you need.
Out of that you can cut
4, 10 footers and 4, 2 footers
4, 8 footers and 4, 4 footers
And 4, 6 footers.
The hardest part will be to get the radius cut it they are fitting all the way against the wall.
