It's Not That I Can't It's...

It's not that I can't use other mediums besides graphite and wildlife as my subjects, it's more like I just don't really get into that much. However as an art teacher one has to use all kinds of mediums and work with all kinds of subjects. Just for the heckuvit I thought I'd show how today's acrylic painting demonstration turned out. It was a study in using broad strokes (large brushes) and color theory using complimentary colors, as well as warm and cool colors. The fact that I had to complete this painting start to finish in 45 minutes or less, made it interesting to say the least. It's tricky because one has to go super fast, but be slow enough to allow the paint to dry. Always a challenge. Anyway here it is.
