Take a walk every morning before daylight. 36 and about 25 mph winds this morning. Broke out my wind-shirt, gloves and stocking cap. I must be getting old. ;)

Take all the blood thinning medicine that I take...........you too will look like the Michelin Man when venturing out.

Here in Pa, 35 tonight. Hung around in Gettysburg yesterday. Visited The Wheatfield, where my great grandfather fought with the 5th Georgia.

He actually lived through 8 major conflicts, surrendered with Lee, made it back to Taylor County, Ga and lived to 82 years old. Tough old hombre. 3742

Wow. Ain't that cool!

I have no idea who my ancestors were. Or what color they were. Or what they did. Or where they were from, other than the name traces to Scotland. I tried ONCE to check, found a horse thief, and quit and lost interest.

That's cool. It kind of makes the visit to a place like that a little different when you have a personal connection like that. I want to make it to the Shiloh battlefield. My great-great grandfather and his brother fought there with Battery D of the 1st Illinois Light Artillery. He survived the war but his brother was killed at Vicksburg.

We had 42 and wind this morning. Really makes me ready to get into the woods.

That is way cool. McLaws let Lee and the South down by not breaking through. If he had, they'd have rolled them up like a rug. Meade got very luck py that secong day.

Shiloh is where my wife great grandfather fought and died (in the Hornets Nest) his two brothers survived and one went on to Congress from their home state of Iowa.
There is a statue of her great uncle in the town square of Creston, not far from Cliff's inlaws.
