This kid is good friends with my grandson, and they are both smitten with bowhunting....I watched him practice and sight-in his bow, before hitting the woods, yesterday afternoon....he's dang good out to about 30 yards, too....he shot the little buck, right at dusk dark, about 20 yards distance, and we blood-trailed him up to about 8 p.m....we went back early this morning, picked up the blood, but it just absolutely ran out....we kept circling, but no blood....later found out he made an abrupt 90 degree left turn, ran another 100 yards, and piled up....found him about 200 yards, later....to say he was proud is an under-statement !!!
Actually, he made the shot about 50 feet from the white oak tree, where I killed my first little buck, when I was 9 years old.
