Aerial Refueling over Afghanistan

KC-10 refuels an F-16, then A-10 Warthogs – pretty neat.

Unlike the KC-135 tanker where the boom operator (boomer) lies on his stomach to view out a window to refuel other aircraft, the KC-10 boomer sits in a comfortable chair and looks out a picture window during refueling.

Think what this view would be (in rough weather, at night, during instrument weather) if a large aircraft like the C-5M, C-17, B-52, B1, or B-2 came into view.

That was cool when they were zoomed in and you see the rotary cannon of the A-10 peaking into view.

The A-10 is kind of like the old F-4 and the C-130. They keep trying to retire it but they keep finding ways to use it.

The A10 is my favorite military aircraft. They just decided to bring them out again for ISIS :)

I'll bet that last A-10 in the video looks like a fire-breathing dragon when that 30mm cranks up.
