Someone 'splain this???

How can a 400 to 700 lb. black bear walk through leaves and thicket and not make a sound, but a two pound squirrel at 60 yards sound like a rock concert?
It is amazing to watch these black ghost move around!

Bears are funny critters. Some times they just appear out of no where like some sort of ghost. Other times. You'd swear a herd of deer we're coming towards you.

Must be this coastal black sandy soil but I've yet to hear the noisey bear...
I'd like to. Hopefully in the next hour or so! 😃

Kind'a makes you wonder how many times you've been within spitting distance of a big old black bear and you never knew it.

Yep sure does.
This major cold front locked the bear up. Did not even see one today.
Passed on 6 bears total over the last couple of days. No shooters. The only bear I saw that was north of 300 pounds was a momma with a cub by her side.
What a get hunt.
Had a good tall and heavy horn 7 point under me for 20 minutes today. Should have busted him, but didn't want to deal with him as I was headed home.
Might try to go back for the second season in that I still got a tag :-)
