Week 1..............of five.

or six if I get to go after Christmas, doubtful.

Good week. Weather was all over the board, as everyone knows. But decent bucks were moving some........six guys in camp (not the same six every day, but six per day.........8 total hunters).......and four guys got bucks, two guys missed bucks, and one got a doe.

Showed you my dink previously. Here's Joe's basket 8. But it was huge............170 lbs. Very, very large for us. He couldn't get it loaded by himself, and called me, and both us old farts had a heck of a time.

Here are cut off antlers from Joe's 8 and my 7 pointer.........

Then another guy got a decent 8.......same stand I got my 7 pointer on. He's 6"7" so..........

Waited all morning on wrecker. We got .00000000000000000000000000000001 inch of snow, so wreckers were in short supply. Finally showed up. But not a flat top, a wrecker. Dang. Mother's car was pointed into carport, back left is what's locked up (cylinder), and it's front wheel drive (2000 Buick Century). He tried to call and get flat top but that took another half hour. So he finally put extender skates on the back, drove it out backwards, turned it around, and just hauled it to the shop with extenders on it. I haven't heard.....yet. But there went Christmas.

Wife is headed out for South Carolina Friday for a week. I'll go back to camp.

Cappy, I'll email you...........but thinking of sending you the rusted cast iron......take it to Sharon's house, and surely someday you'll be close to there........how's that? (and THERE IS NO CHARGE DO NOT BRING IT UP).

Farmer's Almanac said 500 year winter this year. I believe 'em. Brrr. You Yankees can have it if it lasts a long time. Don't like hot either, and I can deal with this.......not THAT bad. But we're flying through the firewood at camp!!

More as it happens.

Those are three nice bucks. I'd have shot any of the three and been tickled.

Glad to see you guys are finding some deer this year Bucky! How many more are you allowed to shoot?

Um.............um..............um.............

1 more buck (2 bucks per year total).

But you get six tags. ALL 6 can be doe.............or if you shoot two bucks, then 5 can be doe. Total 6, but no more than 2 bucks....per year....regardless of method.

Our bow season lasts from Oct 1 till Feb 28........and ML is 9 days early and 3 late..........and Modern Gun is 5 weeks (6 if you are rich and live opposite side of Levee from Eddie), plus 3 days after Christmas............so..........Cappy would need...........um...........45,390 tags.

Bucky much appreciated! And I know just how to restore rusty cast iron. :D
Trust me I can have them looking like new in a couple of weeks. And better yet I'm getting good as seasoning them too!
I sure wish you would allow some payment on them pots however!
