Pecan pie is my favorite at Thanksgiving and my wife makes the best one in the world . Coming in second is my Mom's banana pudding. I get a home made german chocolate for my birthday every year.

I'm a man of many parts when it comes to desserts.

First, my own banana pudding....I make it entirely from scratch, with a golden-brown meringue topping....second, wifey's peach cobbler with homemade vanilla ice cream....third, my Mom's homemade Divinity Candy....before she passed away, she would make me a shoe box full, as a Christmas gift, every year.

Fido, I don't like it when Julie messes with the pecan pie recipe and tries something new, but I gotta say I've had a bourbon pecan pie and it was almost as good as well........almost anything.

QA, I'd forgotten about buttermilk pies. They used to be on our table all the time but somewhere along the line they got set aside. One of those is going on the list this Thanksgiving for sure.

My favoritist pie in the whole wide world is my mom's Lemon Icebox Pie ... with VANILLA WAFER crust ... NOT that nasty graham cracker crust. I've had her TRY to write the recipe down for me a bazillion times, but she has no clue ... just does it the old fashioned way ... by taste. Don't say you've had it before ... you may have had something similar, but NO WAY have you ever had HER pie!

As kids, the whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) all got together at my grandparents house and it was a standing order ... my mom would bring the pecan pies because nobody could make them like
she could. They're hard to beat and would be my second choice.

Getting away from the pie thing ... again, my mom ... her homemade banana pudding!
