College football was quite the scene yesterday! The Tide, Ducks, and draw straws for the other two for the playoffs!

Announcement will be made today at 11:30 CST.

My pick: Bama - Oregon - Crableg College - TCU (I'd love to see Saban have to play these kids)

Committee's Pick: Bama - Oregon - Crableg College - Ohio State(despite my loathing for Meyer, they are good)

Well, I got the committee's selection correct....no big surprise, really:

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. Crableg College
4. Ohio State

I hope Bama wipes up the floor with Meyer's azz....and, the same with Oregon over Crableg College. ;)

It should be interesting to see if FSU can keep up with the Ducks. I sure don't see them slowing down that Oregon offense.

So Ohio State loses to an unranked team in their only loss and TCU loses to the 6th ranked team in the nation and Ohio State gets in and TCU is left out.

This is supposed to be a better system than the BCS?

BULLSHIT.

Good article on Si.com about how the Big 12's one true champion philosophy hurt them.

The part that is bullshit is the opinion part of the selection. This is not a playoff. Yhis is a continuation of the old AP Mythical National Champion.

Yep, the Big 12 got screwed. I don't know, maybe it's just an anomaly. Based on what I saw on the field this year, FSU isn't in the top four. However, they're the reigning champion and only undefeated team. So, there's no way you can leave them out.

I don't see how you can leave FSU out either. But if the selection committee is going to base their election criteria on how teams do in their conference championships, then the regular season really is meaningless.

This is a put up job all the way.

Think maybe 8 teams is a better idea now?

:)

Doesn't matter how you do it, unless there are 117 teams, it has to be subjective, and some ox gets gored.

The same will be true of an 8 team playoff. There would still be a selction committee. No I was quite happybwith the BCS thank you.

A two team subjective playoff.

Ok then.
