If I know the grain of a bullet, and the speed at the muzzle.......and the ballistic coefficient.......can I calculate the energy at various distances? Or does it have to be measured??

I am wanting to know downrange energy. And to do that, I'd have to know downrange velocity. This is for my custom Muzzleloader, so I don't have that available.
