Last day..

Final day of coon season for me today. Partner couldn't make it so I had to solo. Called 6 trees - saw 5 coon - heard one rattling around that wouldn't peek. Got 3 shots.

Came home - showered - sat at the shooting table on the back deck, in my long-johns (25 degrees), drank 3 fingers of Knob Creek, smoked a Macanudo and saluted Orion when he became visible in the east. Life shouldn't be this hard..

Yep, Hide, our deer season ends, today, but our coon and small game doesn't close until Feb. 28th.
I WILL be busy the entire next month !!!
Got some buds, coming next week for 2 nights of "after midnight coon partying"....those ole boys don't play, either....just hope I can keep up with 'em. ;)
