I call male bovine malarky. Chocolate comes from beans. There ain't any metal in it if its the real stuff. Can't speak for it all, but this sounds suspiciously like the old 'razor blades in apples' thing that went around at Halloween when I was a kid. I never of anyone who got anything but lots of raw sugar in homemade candy.

I'm not much of a "sweets" guy. I do like little bit of dark chocolate and I'm talking at least 70% - not much more than 80. Wife is a milk chocolate fan. Figures.. It's about the way our tastes run in everything. "Opposites.. " and all that. ;)

My wife and I visited a chocolate 'plantation' in St Lucia last year and its an interesting process. A few Caribbean island governments (trinida/tobago/ st lucia to name a few) are encouraging cocoa agriculture as a way to provide a new revenue opportunity for farmers. We got to also make our own chocolate bars right from the beans, nibs I think they call them, and after earing some of that super concentrated stuff we both buzzed our asses off on the drive home. Its potent shit!
