is predicted, as of today, to have a low below freezing.

This is absolutely unheard of in the South.

Global Freezing. Clearly.

in 2005 Dst changed from the first Sunday of April” to “second Sunday of March”. I don't like the change, I'd rather have my daylight early rather than later.

Just retire. Then it's the same amount of daylight, give or take, either way!

Actually (though I agree with you, 'Rub, on more than most around here ;) ) I disagree on this one. I get up the same time - year-round, no matter what time I go to bed.. and I much rather get up at 4:45 than 3:45

I ain't laughing AT ya........but I am laughing.

I remember my late FIL saying he hated daylight savings time.......he said the extra daylight would burn up his crops in the summer.

Hey, just use the clocks the racoons use.

I always hated that night when I worked 3rd shift. We went by the clock and not the actual hours so in the fall we had to work an extra hour. Of course we didn't get any extra pay for it. The boss's argument was that we made up for it in the spring when we had one less hour. That was fine if you worked both days, but that didn't seem to happen very often.

That same thing happened to me many times too Deputy.
