It looks like that cockscomb condition is somekindof deformatiy of the strawberrry fruit.

I was looking up some info on the strawberry....and came across this webpage. Sunny, you probably alrerady have this one bookmarked, but it's got a ton of info on the lil strawberry.......for all 50 states!!!
