It was a crappie sorta afternoon.....

Well, Hide, like I said earlier, I was going crappie fishing, this afternoon, to catch just enough for supper.
They were biting so good, I decided to keep 'em all, since there's only 2 pkgs. of fillets left in my freezer.
That hail storm, yesterday, musta knocked 'em crazy because I caught these in about an hour.

I WILL be there again tomorrow. ;)

I get "invalid attachment"... but I believe you.. Wind blew 30 -35 this afternoon. I went down below the house here. All I had for bait was a few night crawlers. First thing that bit was a skinny old male carp. Cut chunks out of him and ended up with four nice channels from 3 to 7 pounds.

Actually, the last two afternoons were. And mornings. And one bass! The livewell pics are not the same pic........I'm worn out. Too old to have this much fun. I have 360 fillets on the kitchen counter I gotta go shrink wrap and freeze............whew.

Nice job 'Rub.. Pretty batch of whites. My days of cleaning 180 freaking fish are *over*. I'll clean 10 and go again tomorrow.. and the next day. ;) One nice thing - crappie are about as easy to dress any any fish going...

Yeah. Enough eggs to repopulate Mars. And yep, easy to clean.......didn't take that long. This was 3 of us.......so we teamed up on the fillet'in and the rib cuttin'.........

And if I can keep my foodsaver from overheatin', I'd be about done with that too.

1. The arm on the guy in the yellow shirt, in the first pic, is NOT Bucky's....too muscular and un-flabby to be Bucky's. ;)

2. Bucky has a GPS antennae, sticking outta his left ear, in the bottom pic....that guides him to the location of more of those nasty carp, like he's holding up. ;)

Too many people and things depend on me Eddie, I sometimes think all Sw arkansas would fall in a crater if I wasn't there holding the rope. I do appreciate the offer. Every drop of water in the county is privately owned even a 10,000 acre former public lake.
