I got the letter from Anthem, so now my wife and I and both kids are signed up for the two years of free monitoring. We'll see if anything turns up on it.

I was included in the big Target security breach. Ever wonder how the credit monitoring service system infrastructure was able to take on 40 million new customers all at once and not even blink an eye?

I'd like to respectfully request a promotion from Junior Noticer.

Either that or a better tinfoil hat.

I got one from homedepot. I had that card burned up.. Nothing is safe... I have all the credit checking stuff then I found out my ex had stuck me with a loan... After all, I found I was sleeping with the hacker....

I've been real lucky so far. Someone was using my Visa "card" in Puerto Rico last year, but the bank caught it immediately and asked me if I had bought cell phone minutes there. Ha! They overnighted a new card aqnd I never heard another word.

A few months back, the same happened with American Express. Someone had tried to buy gas in Georgia and South Carolina, but they didn't know my zip cose, so AmEx nailed the account shut and overnighted a new card. No major issues, but it's still a hassle as I had some automatic payments on the AmEx card and forgot to transfer them to the new card until I was served with late notices. :(
