True story. When my son was about 3-4 years old, I took him to the beach for his first "fishing trip". I couldn't PAY a fish to bite a hook that day and he was getting skunked bigtime. When I suggested we go home and try again another day, he insisted on staying until he caught something. I finally asked Lynn to find a grocery store in the area and buy a fish. She came back and said the ONLY thing she could find was a frozen trout (rainbow). She distracted him while I hooked it and slipped his line back into the water, then told him he had a bite! He reeled it in, asked what kind of fish it was and I told him he'd caught a frozen trout, after which, he agreed to call it a day. Lynn cooked it for his supper that night ands for years he talked about the first fish he ever caught ... a frozen trout! :D
