I think I'm developing arth-a-right-us (southern pronunciation). Sometimes my wrists and hands get to a point where I can't use them because of the pain. Usually one or the other at a time, thankfully. The pain starts gradually in the morning, then as the day wears on gets progressively worse then by evening I usually can't move it and am in some serious pain by then. Hard to stay in my normal vibrantly good mood that way!

Is this the arth-a-right-us? Is there any way to actually manage the pain? Aleve, Advil and tylenol have proven worthless so far.

Ibuprofen now linked to heart attacks. I take it anyway.

Do you take Statins? IF so, many of them, for many people, make pain sometimes unbearable. I have no choice but to take them, so I do.......but between Uncle Arthur and Statins, I hurt constantly.

Welcome to the Fraternity.

Is crestor, lisinopril or hctz a statin?

You might want to check your uric acid level, sometimes it can cause what seems to be arthritus when it is actually gout.I had it in my hands about 5 years ago, Doc put me on Allopurinol and Colchecine.

Crestor is the Statin. I take that too. It is the TOP of the statin food chain. It's where you go when none of the others, including the cheap generics, do the job. I'm on Crestor 20mg daily. And I might say that it works, my LDL 2 weeks ago was about 80.......and my HDL was 68.......and I eat every animal I can find.

Lisinopril (which I am on also, 10mg daily) is a BP medicine, not a statin.

Strange thing that just started happening to me. I've always pee-ed off the back porch, well recently my urine has started killing grass ! It's like I'm pissing roundup ! I was concered at first, but now I'm working my way around the house. Any thoughts on why ?

Also, could you come to my house, drink some beer, and walk around all my pine trees?

LJ3, first off quit doing it so often, it also leads to blindness.
I have it, but not to bad, Tylenol Arthritis works for me when it acts up.

Or, just quit wanking off and the pain should resolve itself in a couple of weeks.

A bowl right after work will do the trick.

I'm still stuck on carpool tunnel. BBP wins the prize for most constructive feedback!

Make sure you drive in the carpool tunnel lane ... it should help. ;)

BTW ... my mom is Southern ... to her it's like some dude's name ... Arthur Itis.

Man-o-man, I'm glad I'm not as old as you old farts. :D

Well... it's not as bad as all that. I mean it only debilitates using my hands. It's not like I love to fish, have a thriving photography business or play the guitar or have to type in order to remain employed or anything silly like that.

Oh no wait...

Where is the pain in the hands? Carpal tunnel could be the cause.
