Ha! It's actually a part for an old Hudson. You screw one end onto the valve stem of the spare tire and run the other end through the trunk to wherever you want ... usually to the panel under the rear bumper (drill a hole and install it). That way you can check/add air to the spare without having to open the trunk ... or if stuff in the trunk is bloacking access to the spare. It's an original Hudson part and new as far as I can tell. It was still in the box, although the box was pretty much FUBAR. When the guy said he'd take a quarter for it, I couldn't reach into my pocket fast enough! (Some classic car restoration company in Ft. Lauderdale bought it)
