summa cum laude with a degree in chemistry. This fall he will start grad school at the university of Arkansas. He actually took a pretty heavy course load with 3 years of physics including one semester of nuclear physics he took just for fun and three levels of calculus.

quite an achievement for a country boy who loves to deer hunt and fly fish

High, high stuff!

Preach?? You mean, like, touting his religion to those that don't want to hear it? Haha. (And to think that folks think the debbil ain't working in me!)

Did y'all get together and eat? My brother always joked that in my family every time some kid made an A we had to get together and eat. Must be a southern thang.

Hope it was a fine celebration of a job well done! Congrats again!
