Used my new Stihl chainsaw once and had to take it back. Its in the shop now getting fixed. Something to do with the 'EZ Start they say. Bottom line is the starter rope won't catch and the rope was damn near frayed in two right at the business end. I wanted a new saw or my money back. They wheedled and whined and said they could fix it in minutes. Even looked at me like maybe it was a cockpit error. Some asshole even said I might have pulled on it too hard. I may have said something smart because it got kinda quiet. Finally after trying to fix it 'in a few minutes' for an hour and a half they said they needed to order the part and would check it in to fix it.

It kind of pisses me off. For whatxI paid, I'd have expected to just be given a new unit.

Both the dealer and Stihl ain't getting very high marks. Just another chinese made piece of shit.

Ummm, I think when the subject of trucks comes up ... I always say Toyota. You finally wised up and listened.

When you asked about chainsaws, I said Husqvarna. Did you listen? Noooooooo!

When are you gonna learn boy? :D

Truthfully, that sucks. I hate buyin' new stuff that breaks.

Wrong...... I went back to check and you posted about 10:30 AM and I answered you about 1:45. (About 3 hours) Then you posted "too late" about 3 hours later. Gee, talk about jumping the gun....

You people needs to stop the jerking around!!!

Yes, husqvarna rules. Mine had been sitting on the garage for a couple of years and I had to use it to be able to park the new camper in the driveway. bit of 50:1, 3 pulls and running. mind you, I bought it used from a logger and this is a 65cc 2004 unit, still kicking....
Not trying to be a butt AND I agree with you, they should have given you a new unit inside of the 30 day warranty. I would be very stern about that.
