I dug out a pair of old forks from a kitchen "junk drawer" and paid $0.25 apiece for them. There are no markings, but after doing quite a bit of research I've been able to determine they are Civil War era. The handles are wood with brass rivets and pewter (clover leaf) inlays. I found a few more cool items, but these are the only things I've taken pics of so far. I think they're kinda cool.

Not much more to say NTB ... other than they sold so fast I feel I may have under-priced them. But, at a bazillion % profit, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. I never could find an exact match on the net, although I found some VERY similar (just a different pewter pattern than the clover leaf). I couldn't help but daydream a bit while holding them and wonder who may have used them back in the mid-1800's. I wish stuff like that could talk. :(

Oh, sorry. Not a big sale really, I just thought they were cool. I was surprised at how little the similar utensils were selling for. I listed them with a "Buy It Now" of $22.50 ... I might ought'a auctioned 'em.

it's a good thing people like Capn' exist or the collectors market would collapse like the American economy if they depended on me. The only thing I collect is debt

Ya' know what Cappy ... you're the first person I thought of! But then, I remembered you've been talking for quite a while about how you need to GET RID of a bunch'a stuff. I didn't want to be an enabler for your addiction! ;)
