I'm starting to believe you Okie boys, when you say, "Nothing good ever comes outta Tejas"....all that rain and weird weather that has been plaguing Tejas for the past two weeks is slowly moving our way....it's rained here every day for the past week or so....crops are looking good, but it sure is screwing up my crappie fishing.

A real bad storm just passed over us, and dumped another 1" of rain in less than 20 minutes.

Just talked to my sister in Houston. She said they finally got sick and tired of the rain, so they're flying out to Vegas for a week so they can dry out!

I invited you to come crappie fishing with me on the Arkansas river, and you ignored me. I'm SURE we could catch something! I just crossed it in Little Rock. Looks real good. If you don't want to crappie fish we could run trotlines.

Since it's so wet, I'll be at Chicot for a few days, working on my boat dock....come on over, and bring your tools with you.
NOOOOOO, I take that back, forget your tools!!!!!, just come over, and watch. ;););)

Sure you don't want to fish the river? It's only at 330,000 cu ft/sec! There's LOTS of new flooded timber to fish!

Well, Mama has decided to go back to the farm this Wednesday. We never got anything done last time cause I had to go to hospital. I suspect we'll be there a few days. The NEXT week we may go camping. At that point, I don't know where to go that isn't flooded. Thinking of Enid, Sardis, Arkabutla, on I-55......always wanted to try it. But Chicot is on the list too.

But be sure to bring your three stage grease cleaner. I'm sure Eddie's got some old fish grease he needs cleaned.

Dang, CD beat me to it! I was gonna ask if gill netting those puppies was legal? ;)

BTW, I can buy into that second pic, but the first one looks staged. Doesn't look like the water got that high or those sheds would'a floated away, no water marks on the sheds or barriers behind the fence, the fish are all stuck in the same general area and there's no other trash in the fence. I call fake on that one. ;)

KATV in Little Rock had a picture from Burns Park that had fish stuck in the chain link fence also. IDK
