The first thing that comes to MY mind, is gross mismanagement. No clue really, but I can't imagine Colt not having enough reserves to have to rely solely on a government contract in order to stay in business. Oh well, it's anybody's guess as to how the "restructuring" will go.

Yeah. They stopped catering to the public, and depended entirely on government contracts. It bit 'em.

Still, the only gun left that I don't own that I truly covet is a Colt SAA .45.............but not one I'll ever end up with. This will probably make 'em go even higher.

Sad nonetheless. Sort of like another peg in the culture coffin.

If I recall they didn't produce anything for CCW carry! It was an article in the WSJ.

Great product, piss poor management, the Colt name will survive, lets hope it's not bought by China.
