Sold old truck

Well I said goodbye to the old GMC (Big Brown) yesterday with a tear in my eye. Had that truck for 15 years and it sure was good to me (saved our lives last year when the trailer flipped) so it was kinda hard to see it go. Strange to have emotions over a piece of machinery but I actually felt a little guilty letting her go. Like sending an old plow horse to the knackers yard after many years of faithful service. Did get more than I was looking for so that's ok, I guess. Sure hope the new Ford is as good as this one.

Darn right she was special! I rode shotgun for many miles in that thing back when the interior still had that new car smell. ('Course, after that pot'o KFC baked beans I ate at Lesser Slave Lake, the "new car smell" didn't last long.) ;)

Oh bye the bye; just checked and the new diesel is getting 16.2mpusg. Not bad for a new engine.

Only if the Jeep's tied to a trailer with a 52,964 lb. (or in Johnboy's case, 1,165,208 kg.) boat sittin' on it! ;)
