Seen them before, never owned one as I never had much problem with flies in the house. When I get one and the cats dont kill it first I like to get close and personal with the electric fly swatter I have.... Still looks neat, I would not like to be cleaning all that salt inside the house either.

They all seem like willing and stationary targets! It seems a fly swatter would work just as well ... and like Nandy says, who'd want that salt all over the house?

I'd own one right now (may yet) - but the "good one" (more power - less salt) is 50+ bucks. I've bought trucks for less than that. ;)

Glenn Clark and I sat on the back row in home room 4th grade and killed over 100 flies each in one week using rubber band chains. It was early in the school year, hotter than hell, and with every window open our little class of thirty or so country kids drew flies like a herd of goats. Our teacher, Mrs Vineyard, wrote our score up on the blackboard.

No doubt she'd make Fox Hews if that was done today.

I didn't know they had even invented rubber bands when you were in the 4th grade.
Damn, learn something new everyday.

They were made from wood and we were glad to have them!

Rubber wood? Is that anything like rubber cement? ;)
