Outside of the fake blood... Which is terrible looking in my opinion... It's ok.

It's not just the fake blood that looks bad ... the whole idea is pretty sick IMHO and surely won't help the pro-hunting cause. Not good.

Not my taste.

Looks like something you'd find in a college frat house.

All my sentiments, exactly....I think it is too gory, tacky and poor taste....if I was the taxidermist, I'd have refused to do that mount.

Don't like it. Sends wrong message.

Probably/possibly done for a contest. Not my tastes either. On the other hand - I saw a doe pull an arrow one time. Buddy had shot it about 150 yards from my stand. She went about another 20 yards and bedded down. Never got up. Kind of a cool thing to see - but I'll admit the whole "pulling" sequence kind of gave me the heebies. It took her two attempts.

I refer to that type of taxidermy as stupid taxidermy.

My opinion?

My opinion is that anyone who would A) Want that done and pay to have it done, and B) actually do it, are BOTH card carrying idiots.

My thoughts exactly by all of you. It is tacky and would not be well received by anyone who doesn't hunt, even if they aren't necessarily against hunting.

+1 with what the Captain said.
I guess the only thing missing is an arrow sticking out, or maybe a bit of gut.

It may have been done with a specific purpose in mind. Like maybe to stir anti-hunting feelings. Is it possible this was done by PETA-like group?

If you look close, there is an arrow there. You can barely see the orange nock and white fletchings just above the white on it's muzzle. The deer almost has it's mouth on it.

I hunt, kill, gut and process my own deer... I would not want to see that in my place, not the moment I want to share with the general public. although I dont sprinkle tobacco on a dead deer I do have a bit of remorse by taking a life, then I get over it when eating the tenderloin wrapped in bacon after marinating is a garlic/soy bean marinate....

Thank you for using soy beans.

I agree with Posthole. That's beyond tacky and looks very "anti-hunting".
Someone worked really hard at making that look really bad. What a shame.
