I feel sorry for youseguys, never made great money, but as teachers we always had pretty first class insurance. Our retirement carried this over as our Part B.
Here's hoping you stay healthy !

Part B isn't a problem.

Part D is........

Or, maybe a problem with all the "parts" but some are bigger problems than others. But, the biggest problem is when you really need them.....

Medical insurance is a nightmare, especially if you have a serious illness. Just keeping up with invoices, EOBs, what's covered, what isn't covered, etc. is a full time job!

Yep.

But I'll be honest. Medicare and my Part B Supplement (Asurant) has been ok. I don't go to many doctors, but I was in the hospital 5 days in May. That was zero cost, net. Private room, etc.

But Part D is a nightmare. Wife just got a common prescription turned down because it wasn't spelled exactly as her Formulary says. By not spelled the same, I mean he prescribed tablets and the Formulary only listed capsules. Dosage, etc., all else the same.

Poor doctors can't memorize every insurance company's formularies. So we are relegated to carrying it with us to doc office, and when he writes prescription, we have to say "Wait, doc, let me look that up to make sure you write it down right". And then it only covers a couple thousand dollars of medicine, and then you're on your own.......

Course, who am I talking to!? I'm sure you know all that!

Ha! I think the P.O. must know you! ;)

I sold an item on eBay last night and dropped it by the Post Office after hours because I had to run an errand and went right by there. Of course the PO was closed, so I simply dropped it in the box in the lobby. It was a package sent by regular First Class Mail (not Priority) and it was delivered today! From check-in to mailbox in 16 hours! Heck, from the time it got checked in at my P.O. ... it was on the carrier's Jeep and out for delivery within 7 hours! To top it off, it went from here to Tampa (west of me) and then to Haines City (east of me). Now THAT'S service!! :D
