That is cool. Glad you made some good coin on those. That thing has been laying around my shop for years.

Yeah, I think I paid $5 or sumpin' silly like that for mine. :thumbsup

I didn't even bother to auction them ... just threw a price on 'em and said "take it or leave it". Somebody went for it! ;)

Play pipes (firehose nozzles).

I already had the red one and Cappy had the other in his scrap pile. (they're basically the same, but his was missing the red wrapping). We traded some stuff when we met up in Daytona, then I decided to sell them as a pair instead of separately to save on shipping. Prolly could'a got more ... but I didn't want to sit on 'em too long.

I bought one at an estate sale and Cappy said he had one just like it in his scrap pile. I traded him some "scrap" I had here for his "scrap" ... then sold bof'em! That's what I do. ;)

No, that's great............didn't mean that.

I am just sort of ............. I dunno, surprised, we'll say........that anyone would have a firehose nozzle in their possession. I don't know anyone that does.

I am so glad you will never walk through my house and shop. I'd have nothing left.

Ha ha! I do estate sales. Do I have to wait for you to die? ;)

Firefighters collect all sorts of firefighting stuff. These nozzles are brass and many polish them up and display them. Old firefighting stuff is highly collectable.
Here's one of those nozzles all polished up. People make lamps out of them also.

In fact, I have an old brass FireGun extinguisher listed for sale right now. People love brass as they can polish it up for a nice display. Here's mine.

I've also sold the full sized extinguishers like these. Here are some made into lamps.

I was going to say that every firefighter that I know has some type of old firefighting equipment as decoration at their house. What else do you expect from a group that sleeps together and like to play with hoses. ;)

I was wondering how Cappy came to have one of those. Now I see!!

Actually, I'm not so sure there's anything Cappy does NOT have! (well, other than height maybe) ;)
