I belong to a flyfishing group since 2004ish and we have 3 main trips and a few other small trips. Smallmouth fishing is one of the 3 major trips and it happens on the first weekend of august. We used to have it on the New river but fishing been slow there so we decided to change it this year to the French Broad river. Everyone caught fish, whatever they were wadding or floating. Few flicks...
Most of the fish caught were cookie cutter of this 12/14 incher one.
