Well, I sure hope Cappy gets some, but it's definitely gonna bring us some rain we DON'T need. It could be a mess as the ground is pretty much saturated as it is. We've already had flooding on the (western) coastal areas and rivers/lakes are pretty much at capacity lately. It could be a mess. As long as it stays off the EAST coast, it won't be quite as bad as most of the damaging part of a hurricane is on the eastern side of the storm. But if it takes a turn toward the Gulf and follows the West coast, we'll really get hammered by it's eastern side! I see your map has it going right up through the middle of the state! That ain't gonna be good ... the maps I've seen have it skirting the east coast.

Crap! I just checked the latest tracking update and it has your same track. Damn! I sure hope that thing turns ... it's headed straight for my house right now! That second dot from the top is about persactly where my house is. :(

I'm suppose to be in Winyah Bay fishing for big bull Reds next Wednesday thru Sunday. Looks like that might not be possible. It's just north of Charleston on the coast. :-(

Well, now they have it skirting the west coast. That'll put us on the nasty side of the storm, but at least it won't be a direct hit. Of course, the projected path could change again at any minute. :(

Ha ha! We're gonna do what any other Floridian would do. We're heading for the beach in the morning and will be back Sunday night. In fact, we'll be right about where that red dot is below Tampa this weekend. That ol' girl ain't s'posed to be here 'til Monday or Tuesday I think, so the weather should be nice ahead of the storm. Heck, there's nothing I can do about it anyway. The wind is nothing, it's the rain that causes all the problems. We'll just have to wait and see how things work out.

Tomorrow night, we'll head up the coast to the sponge docks and have some Greek food. I already know what my main course will be and that'll be octopus! My appetizer will be a big ol' hunk of Saganaki. Yummm, can't wait!

Dang, that's good news. Actually, I wish it had gone up the east coast instead as the nasty part of the storm is the eastern side, so we'll still get plenty of rain if it's west of us ... unless it heads for Mexico ... which, since it's been so unpredictable, it just might do.
