Thanks. He Nats have finally been playing a little better. But, it may be too little, too late.

If the Mets could go ahead and completely collapse that'd be just swell.

I've watched them play this year and I don't understand what's keeping them afloat.

Watching Colon muddle through a game is almost painful.

It doesn't help that the Mets are playing the Phillies while we're playing the Cards who have treated us like their little bitches since 2012...

That seventh inning was ugly. and all happened with two outs. I like watching Gio Gonzales pitch. He has a certain savoir-faire and you expect him to twirl his mustache. plus, its fun to try to read his lips to see what he's saying when he's talking to himself.

I think there might be a manager problem in Washington. Very curious decisions he made with his pen.

I don't hate baseball, I just hate everybody except the Yankees

I'm not sure what it is. The team has been hurt all year and that hasn't helped. The bull pen has been an inconsistent mess all year as well. They traded away one of the best 8th inning guys baseball in Clippard and the guy they penciled into replace him blew out his elbow in spring training and nobody has stepped up to replace him in a consistent way. At the trade deadline they sold their soul by getting Papplebaum and demoting Soren which hasn't worked out very well either. Now, they're finally healthier than they've been all year. However, some sort of chemistry issue still seems to remain and they're under performing. I think Williams can take some of the responsibility for that. That's where "management" comes into play more than how you use your relief pitching.

Where you sitting Bucky? I'll look for ya on TeeVee.
is that tonight or tomorrow night?

A REALLY interesting series going on between SF and LAD right now. The two losses to the Cards and the walkoff last night by LAD makes these next two games pretty much a must win for those asshole Giants. I hope they lose every game in September.

Baseball is a maddening game. That's probably why I like it (and golf) so much.

He sucked the entire month of August. (Some BS about his arm angle causing his fastball to have little or no movement...) So, you may get your wish.

Somebody needs to tell me how a player as good as Zimmerman is batting .211 and just literally killed the Cards this entire series. Man I hated to see them pitch to that guy.

He was hurt for most of the first half and on the DL for most of it (plantar fasciitis) and has finally gotten hit.

Albert P had that last year and it was painful watching him try to swing, let alone run. But he played through a lot of it.

Pittsburgh just got swept by Milwaukee. And SF got beat by Colorado. Put a fork in 'em.

I've had it myself and would have sworn I had a broken bone in my foot. I can't imagine trying to play a sport at that level.
