I just drove 1503 miles Northeast, North, then West, then home...........NOT Confederate territory........and I never saw so many Confederate Flags...........at least NEVER in that area, which I have traveled reasonably often.

I have a theory about this. After the Charleston Church Shooting, I couldn't believe the sheer number of people who expressed opinions that the Southern Cross was
ONLY a symbol for racism and oppression. They refused to consider that other people could possibly hold different views; it was just THIS means THAT and only that.

Soon after I started hearing reports of the Confederate Flag popping up in such Rebel Stronghold as New England and Long Island and Seattle. I know that it has been used by "kids" to outrage their parents kind of all through what is called the "mid=west" for years, but I suspect that what we're seeing now is a blatant "FU"" to some of the "it's only racist" dogma types
