But of course, they won't shut down. They'll keep "essential personnel" (think "jumbo shrimp", or "Military intelligence" or other oxymorisms....there ARE no essential government personnel), especially the ones needed to block launching ramps and federal game preserves which have hunting seasons............meaning they block access to the land ALREADY paid for by taxpayers, and keep paying folks to do it!
They'll block national monuments, but pay people to keep YOU out.
Somewhere I still have a newspaper from Clinton's time which has HUGE headline "GOVERNMENT SHUTS DOWN". Of course, it never does. That'd be too close to Heaven...........
