My hunting partner (Big Jim) was bush hogging at the hunt club Sunday and ran over two 50 in copperheads. They are really starting to crawl. 5629

Good snakes! We're seeing the same thing at my hunt club. You weren't kidding about it being dry down your way. That ground looks like Death Valley. Between the snakes and drought, I think it may be a sign of the end of days...

You butthead! Misusing your admin. powers to change my quote is against the non-existent G/H rules. I demand an emergency meeting with the SEC! (Secret Ethics Committee) ;)

Ummm, don't look now numbnuts, but you forgot to change MY quote within YOUR quote! :moon

It's as dry here as I've ever seen it. I have not even begun to plant food plots. The way it is, it would be a waste of time and money to out seed in the ground.

It's crazy Captain, because I'm still as wet as you're dry. I really think, sometime in the next 30 days we will turn dry and stay that way all winter . It's just the law of averages .......

Cap, I'm disking foodplots, now, but not gonna plant anything, yet, either....but, they will be ready, when and if it does rain....the ground is so hard, that it's taking 2-3 trips with the disk to break it up....that little spit of a shower that we got last week hardly settled the dust....this is day #71 without any decent moisture.

Few miles west of Greenwood.

I just straight lined it on the map, and we're no more than 140 miles apart, yet this year it's like we're in different countries. Crazy weather is really scaring me farming anymore. I don't farm anymore, I dodge weather events ! and that ain't no way to make a living.....

Like I said in other threads, folks only 30 miles north of me, never irrigated a drop.

I think we're about at the saturation point around here. A hurricane right now would probably make a real mess. The wind is "usually" no big deal, it's the massive amounts of rain that does most of the damage. Then again, with the ground so wet, I'm sure the wind would take out a lot of trees as there's nothing to hold the roots in the ground.

All while the west coast from California to Washington is burning to the ground as it's so dry.

Week of bush hogging here......about finished.....and not one snake...

Ground clearly has been flooded this year....never seen that before.

Those 2 snakes are defective, they have hole on them....
